Rick Wemple Outfitting offers Archery and Rifle guided ‘fair chase’ Montana hunts for Elk, Deer, Black Bear, Antelope, Cougar, Moose, Sheep and Mountain Goat in the Spring & Fall seasons. Some of this Montana hunting have guaranteed license and tags available to HUNTERS if hunting with an Montana outfitter and applied for in advance. (March 15 for Elk and Deer, June 1 for Antelope, and 30 days prior to the opening of Bear seasons).



Montana hunting for Antelope, Mountain Lion, Mountain Goat, Moose and Bighorn Sheep if you have appropriate license and tag. These Montana hunts are on a drawing and if unsuccessful, your deposit is transferred to another hunt. Rick Wemple Outfitting will do all necessary paperwork, and forward the application to you for signature and appropriate funds to be mailed by deadline of the Montana hunting application. You may apply for Montana hunting license and tags by the Internet also.

Sometimes it just does not work out fair chase hunting with the weather on your scheduled minimum day hunt to be successful on the trophy animals you want. Therefore, I decided if you want to hunt trophies, and have the time, you could hunt ALL SEASON LONG if you want. To fill ANY tags, you choose to buy or get drawn with. No kill fees, just hard fair chase hunting.

See Montana the beautiful Bitterroot and Sapphire Mountains with their majestic peaks are home to trophy size elk, deer, antelope, bear, mountain lion, Bighorn sheep. Our Montana hunting areas are in the Bitterroot and Lolo National Forests of Western Montana. Permitted on a million acres, including areas: 240, 250, 260, 261, 270 and area 700. You can see that our Montana hunting outfitters can provide you with a very special hunt of a lifetime.

Montana hunting access to the Bitterroot and Lolo Forests is primary by 4 x 4 vehicle. Horses and mules may be used for game retrieval. Most hunting is done on foot. Since there are many remote road less areas available, our outfitters try to hunt places with little or no hunting pressure from other hunters.

Professional Outfitters and Guides are licensed and trained in calling, stalking, capeing, skinning, and will get your game to a processor or cold storage.

All transportation to and from the airport is provided. All accommodations, meals, guides, 4 x 4 vehicles and equipment is provided on guided hunts. All you need is personal gear, weapon, license and tag. (For Antelope hunts, lodging is extra and you must arrive in Miles City, Montana).


We recommend you sight your rifle in at 2” high at 100 yards.

Areas we hunt in Montana provide little or no pressure during the bugle season for elk. The rising number of trophy animals has greatly increased your chances of scoring on a BIG bull elk. Experienced guides that will hunt in close with you, trying hard to get you that PERFECT ARCHERY shot. Guides are experienced callers and will do all the bugling or cow calling for you. * I accept personal checks, credit cards, cash, travelers checks or money orders, 3% added for credit card payments.
* Deposits must accompany your reservation.
* Final Payment required 30 days prior to the hunt starting date.
* Montana prices are subject to a 7% room tax & 3% fed. fee.

REFUND POLICY
** If you cancel your regular scheduled hunt, I will transfer your deposit to next year IF another replacement hunter is found and all fees are paid, otherwise, all deposits are non-refundable. Antelope, Moose, Sheep, Goat and Lion hunt deposits (drawing ) will be transferred to next year or applied to a different hunt, if not successful in drawing.

***LICENSE COST AND TAG COSTS ARE CLIENTS RESPONSIBILITY

Plan on arriving in the afternoon the day prior to the date your hunt is scheduled! If you plan on arriving any earlier, you would have to make arrangements to stay in a motel in either Missoula or Hamilton, Mt. Those of you flying in, please let us know your flight number and time of arrival, we will meet you at the Missoula International Airport and provide accommodations the night before your hunt is scheduled.
